So the story goes that once Trisha Yearwood (country music singer who turned celebrity chef) was offered this dip in a Charleston, South Carolina hotel gift basket, and she enjoyed it so much that she went on to replicate the recipe herself. And we can’t blame her. There is much to think along with cheese, crispy bacon, and buttery cracker breadcrumbs. As far as dips are concerned, we love hot dips, and those that are rich in cheese are what makes the Trisha Yearwood Charleston Cheese Dip amazing, it is full of cheese and bacon, and this recipe does not lack any flavors.
It is the most smooth, cheesiest sort of dip, the one which is usually first eaten when it goes to a party. It begins with cream cheese and mayo for a creamy base, with a touch of cayenne pepper and green onion, two kinds of cheese – Monterey and Cheddar. It all gets covered with smashed Ritz crackers before the whole thing gets hot and bubbly into the oven. The hardest to resist, isn’t it always oven-baked dips? It’s even more irresistible because the toppings for this one is bacon, a crumble bacon. It’s an easy dip to put together (we ‘re just talking minutes), and at any gathering, it’s famous. It’s easy to see why Trisha Yearwood was so fond of it.
