Ingredients:
4 large pieces of cod, catfish, or any firm white fish works. choose for a thick fish.

Directions:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 150 degrees C or 300 degrees F.
Step 2: Discard any bones from the fish and use paper towels to pat dry the fish.
Step 3: In a mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 4: Coat the fish with the flour mixture.
To Make the Batter:
Step 1: In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients aside from the water and beer. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 2: Slice the peeled potatoes into thin cuts. Use paper towels to pat them dry.
Step 3: Cook the chips for about 8 minutes.
Step 4: Remove from the heat and arrange them onto a baking tray.
Step 5: Add the beer mixture into the batter and stir until just mixed.
Step 6: Fry the fish into the hot oil and cook for about 7 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 7: Remove from the heat and place them inside the oven to keep them warm. Repeat the process to the rest of the fish.
Step 8: Put the chips back to the hot oil and fry for another 3 minutes or until crispy.
Step 9: Remove from the heat and use place them on a clean plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Step 10: Arrange the fish and chips onto greased-proof paper.
Step 11: Serve hot and enjoy!
