Ingredients
12-15 chicken strips
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tbsp flour
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. Panko breadcrumbs
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp butter
How to make Baked Buttermilk Chicken Strips
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.
Step 2: In a saucepan, melt the butter. Add the Panko crumbs and cook until brown. Into a small bowl, pour the crumbs, then add the Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
Step 3: Place the Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, flour, and buttermilk in a small bowl. Mix well until combined.
Step 4: Into the buttermilk mixture, dip the chicken strips one by one, then coat with Panko mixture. On the baking sheet, lay the chicken strips. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes until completely cooked and crispy.
Step 5: Remove from the oven when done and serve the chicken strips with ketchup/ranch dressing for dipping. Enjoy!
Notes:
Substitute Panko if not available with regular breadcrumbs.
To keep the juices from running off the cookie sheet, use a rimmed baking sheet for best results.
