Ingredients:
2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed
2 cloves garlic crushed
15 ounces canned chickpeas 1 can
1/3 c tahini
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cumin
4 tablespoons cold water
2 tablespoons of olive oil extra virgin
For Serving (Optional):
Drizzle Olive Oil Extra Virgin
Parsley Freshly chopped
Sprinkle Paprika
Sprinkle Sesame Seeds
Toasted Pita Bread
Directions:
Step 1: Squeeze the lemon juice into a mixing bowl.
Step 2: Add the crushed garlic cloves and allow them to soak for about 5 minutes.
Step 3: Add the drained chickpeas into the food processor together with the crushed garlic cloves, lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of cold water, and tahini. Pulse until processed.
Step 4: Add the cumin, olive oil, salt, and 2 tablespoons of water. Pulse again until smooth.
Step 5: Move the Hummus onto a serving plate.
Step 6: Drizzle olive oil, then sprinkle paprika, freshly chopped parsley, and sesame seeds on top.
Step 7: Serve with pita bread and enjoy!
Notes:
Make sure to soak the garlic cloves first in lemon.
