I have been craving these sweet little treats for two weeks now. Finally, I had a chance to make them! A big thanks to my dear, friend, Amanda for giving me this amazing recipe! Oh, man, you have got to bite your teeth into these luscious bars! The best dessert after eating pretty much anything! I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you need to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Feel free to add more ingredients if you prefer. Ingredients:
1 c (2 sticks) salted butter
1/2 c light brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 c rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1 c milk chocolate chips
3/4 c smooth peanut butter
Directions:
Step 1: Line parchment paper into an 8×8-inch baking dish.
Step 2: Place a medium saucepan on the stove and add the butter, vanilla extract, and brown sugar.
Step 3: Turn the heat to medium-low and allow the butter to melt.
Step 4: Add the ground cinnamon, oats, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
Step 5: Cook for 5 minutes, then remove from the heat.
Step 6: Transfer half of the mixture into the lined baking pan and spread it evenly on the bottom.
Step 7: Place the chocolate chips in a microwavable bowl, then place them inside the microwave. Heat until melted completely.
Step 8: Transfer the melted chocolate into the pan and spread it evenly.
Step 9: Add the other half of the oat mixture over the melted chocolate.
Step 10: Drizzle the entire pan with the remaining chocolate mixture.
Step 11: Place it inside the fridge to chill for 4 hours.
Step 12: Serve and enjoy!
