Ingredients:
2 c (260 g) all-purpose flour
½ c (100 g) granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
¾ c (180 ml) milk, room temperature
½ c (114 g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
2 large eggs, room temperature
2 tbsp coarse sugar, optional
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Line with paper liners a muffin pan.
Step 3: Add the sugar, flour, salt, and baking powder to a small mixing bowl. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 4: In another mixing bowl, add the butter, eggs, and milk. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 5: Transfer the flour mixture into the egg mixture and stir until well mixed.
Step 6: Fill each muffin cup with the batter and sprinkle coarse sugar on top.
Step 7: Place them inside the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle.
Step 8: Remove from the oven and allow the muffins to cool at room temperature.
Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
Feel free to use oil instead of butter.
You can use yoghurt, sour cream, or buttermilk instead of whole milk.
