Ingredients
180 grams/6-ounce sliced large salami
250 grams/8-ounce cream cheese
2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley or basil
Crackers, to serve
¼ c. baby capers, drained
How to make Salami and Cream Cheese Roll up
Step 1: On a large piece of cling wrap, place the cold cream cheese. Tent it with another piece of cling wrap.
Step 2: Into a triangle, roll the cold cream cheese using a rolling pin. Peel the cling wrap off, then cover the cream cheese with salami, overlapping them a little.
Step 3: Using a new piece of cling wrap, cover the salami, pressing it down. So the cream cheese side is up, turn the cling wrap over.
Step 4: To expose the cream cheese, peel off the cling wrap. On top of the cream cheese, sprinkle the capers and parsley. Roll it up, beginning from the long edge, taking off the cling wrap as you roll. Make sure to firmly roll to prevent air bubbles.
Step 5: Wrap the roll-up with the same cling wrap, then twist the ends. Keep the salami and cream cheese rolled up in the fridge for approximately 4 hours (or more) before unwrapping.
Step 6: Into rounds, slice the roll up, and enjoy right away with crackers.
Tips:
For this recipe, I used a big round of spicy salami.
Easily make this dish using slightly melted cream cheese if you do not have a rolling pin.
