I know that we all have a great recipe for mac and cheese. Well, this one is mine! What I love the most about this recipe is the simplicity of all the ingredients and steps. Ingredients:
1 pound Gemelli or Elbow Pasta
4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
4 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
3 c Whole Milk
Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Seasoning & Salad Dressing Mix Shaker
Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Seasoning & 2 tsp Salad Dressing Mix Shaker
2 c Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Directions:
Place a large pot with salted water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
Add the pasta and cook for 8 minutes or until al dente.
Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Place a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add butter and allow it to melt.
Add the flour, then cook whisk and cook for about 2 minutes or until brown.
Add milk and whisk until well blended.
Add the seasoning mix and stir until well mixed. Simmer for 5 minutes or until the texture becomes thick.
Remove the saucepan from the heat, then add cheese. Stir until well mixed and melted.
Add the cooked pasta and toss until well coated with the delicious sauce.
Garnish with freshly chopped herbs.
Serve and enjoy!
Note:
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top if you prefer.
