Oklahoma Fried Onion Burger is one of my favorites! It is seriously delicious, mouthwatering, and super easy to make. The golden caramelized onions ingrained on a perfectly cooked burger are to die for!
Ingredients
4 tbsp butter
½ c. of French onion dip
2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
2 large white or yellow onions, thinly sliced
1 pound 80/20 hamburger meat

Pickles for serving, optional
Salt and pepper for seasoning
How to make Oklahoma Fried Onion Burger
Step 1: In a bowl, place the onion dip, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well, then cover the bowl and put it in an icebox until ready to serve.
Step 2: Over a large bowl, place a colander. Add the onions to the bowl and sprinkle with salt. Lightly stir and set aside for about 30 to 45 minutes.
Step 3: Into a clean cloth towel, place the onions and press to absorb any leftover moisture. Set aside.
Step 4: Into 4 equal balls, slice and shape the meat. In the meantime, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. To the melted butter, place the meatballs and gently flatten them into thin patties using a spatula.
Step 5: On top of each patty, place the onions and sprinkle with Kent’s seasoning or salt and pepper. Continue to cook the patties until the edges are browned. Then, carefully flip. Cook for another 3 minutes. Constantly flip for about 2 to 3 minutes to let the steam and flavor absorb into the buns.
Step 6: Take the buns out of the skillet. Put a slice of cheese over each patty and cook further until the cheese has melted.
Step 7: On top of the burger, place the bottom bun. Onto the bun, carefully flip the burger. Then, take it out of the skillet. Do the same with the rest of the burgers. On top of the bun, generously spread the French onion dip mixture.
Step 8: Serve the burger right away. Enjoy!
Tips:
To prevent the meat from getting a burn, gently place it into the skillet.
These burger pairs are great with pickles.
