I am so excited to share this recipe with you today! Oh, man, you will surely devour this Instant Pot Honey Garlic Chicken very quickly! Serve it over rice, and you have yourself a lunch or dinner to remember! Don’t forget to spoon the delicious sauce over. Have a blessed day, friends!
Ingredients:
1/2 c honey
1/3 c soy sauce
2 tbsp vegetable oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 c ketchup
3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/3 c onion, diced
Rice for serving
3 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 c water
Sesame seeds & green onion for topping
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Lay the chicken breasts on the bottom of an Instant Pot and arrange them in a single layer.
Sprinkle salt and pepper on top to season.
In a bowl, add oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ketchup, and onion. Stir until well blended.
Add the mixture on top of the chicken. Stir until just mixed.
Cover the Instant Pot, then press the “Meat” button. Cook for about 15 minutes on a high setting.
Transfer the chicken onto a clean plate.
In a mixing bowl, add 1/4 cup water and 3 tsp of cornstarch. Stir until well blended.
Add the slurry into the Instant Pot with the sauce. Stir until well blended.
Press the “Sauté” button and cook for another 5 minutes or until the texture of the sauce becomes thick.
Slice the chicken into small pieces, then put them back into the Instant Pot with the sauce. Toss until well coated.
Garnish each serving with green onions and sesame seeds.
Serve over rice and enjoy!
Note:
Feel free to add chili powder for a spicy version.
