If you are looking for a new and easy pie recipe, then you have got to give this one a try! Oh, man, you are so in for a treat! Feel free to add more ingredients if you prefer. I am sure that you are going to love this Potato and Onion Pie. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 lbs of russet potatoes, peeled and sliced very thin
1 medium-size onion, peeled and cut in half, and sliced very thin
salt and pepper to taste (light on the pepper)
4 tsp of minced garlic
1 cup of grated cheese, divided
2/3 c of sour cream, whipping cream, or milk (I use a combination of all three!)
1/4 c parmesan grated fresh
pam spray
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply Pam spray in a 10-inch glass pie dish.
Step 3: Add 2 tsp of garlic and spread it on the bottom of the prepared pie dish.
Step 4: Place 1/2 of the potatoes on top of the garlic.
Step 5: Place 1/2 of the onions over the potatoes, then sprinkle salt and pepper on top.
Step 6: Top everything with a generous amount of cheese.
Step 7: Repeat the process until everything is arranged in layers.
Step 8: Cover with aluminium foil the pie dish.
Step 9: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes.
Step 10: Remove the foil cover and bake for another 30 minutes or until the top turns brown.
Step 11: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes at room temperature.
Step 12: Slice into small cuts.
Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
