I have a huge love for beef and broccoli. It’s one of the most requested meals any time, any day. And if you want the kids to eat veggies, this Instant Pot Beef and Broccoli is your best option. It is super good, they will not mind the greens. Serve this over-cooked rice for a full, satisfying meal. And don’t forget to drizzle more of that luscious sauce.
This dish is super! I am sure you will love it as we do.
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds chuck roast or flank steak sliced into thin strips
1 tablespoon canola oil
4 cloves garlic minced
3/4 c. beef broth
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 lb broccoli cut into florets
3 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons cornstarch
How to make Instant Pot Beef and Broccoli
Step 1: In the Instant Pot, add the canola oil and set it to “Saute”.
Step 2: Once the oil is hot, cook the meat in batches until brown.
Step 3: Add in the beef broth, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Mix well before stirring in the sugar until dissolved.
Step 4: Cover the pot with the lid and seal. Set to high pressure and cook for about 10 minutes.
Step 5: Perform a quick release of pressure when the cooking time ends. To venting position, set the valve. Once it drops, remove the lid carefully.
Step 6: Stir in the cornstarch and water mixture until smooth.
Step 7: Set to “Saute” again, add in the broccoli, and lightly stir.
Step 8: Cover the pot, seal, and cook the broccoli for about 3 minutes if using fresh or 5 minutes for frozen.
Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
