I love salad, I eat it pretty much every day! This Creamy Bacon Pea Salad is just one of my favourites! Aside from the rich flavours in it, it is also very easy to make, like most salad, right? Well, the only thing I love the most about this is the crispy bacon! Yeah, salad can have a little fun too! Make sure to add crispy bacon for extra crunch! By the way, a big thanks to my sister, Farrah, for this incredible recipe! I am so glad that I gave it a try because I never would have tasted perfection! Ingredients:
Dressing:
1/2 c sour cream
1/3 c mayonnaise
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tbsp white vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Salad:
4 c frozen sweet peas thawed
12 strips bacon cooked until crisp then finely chopped or crumbled
1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 a medium red onion peeled and diced
Directions:
Step 1: Add all the ingredients for the salad dressing into a small mixing bowl. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 2: In another large serving bowl, add the crispy bacon, peans, sliced red onion, and shredded cheddar cheese. Toss until just mixed.
Step 3: Pour the salad dressing all over the salad and toss until well coated.
Step 4: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it inside the fridge for about 2 to 3 hours to chill.
Step 5: Serve chilled and enjoy!
