Ingredients:
For the Hamburger Steak Patties:
1 large Egg
1/4 c bread crumbs
6 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped
1 tsp of seasoned salt
3 tbsp olive oil
1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1 large onion, diced
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp fresh black pepper
1 c all-purpose flour
For the Brown Onion Mushroom Gravy:
1 large onion, chopped
1 c of beef broth
1 c of water
1/4 c of all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp seasoning salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Gravy master (orange top)
2 c of freshly sliced mushrooms
Directions:
Step 1: Add all the ingredients for the patty in a large mixing bowl except the olive oil and flour. Stir until well combined.
Step 2: Make 4 to 6 even patties out of the mixture.
Step 3: Dip each patty into the reserved flour. Generously coat each.
Step 4: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 5: Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Step 6: Add the patties into the skillet and cook each side for a few minutes until brown.
Step 7: Leave the grease in the skillet and remove the cooked patties.
Step 8: In the same skillet, add the diced onions and 1 tablespoon of water. Stir and cook the onions for about a minute or until translucent.
Step 9: In a medium mixing bowl, add water, 1 cup of flour, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, gravy master, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
Step 10: Transfer the mixture into the skillet. Stir until well mixed and thick.
Step 11: Put the cooked patties back into the skillet and spoon the sauce on top. Make sure to turn them two to three times to coat each side.
Step 12: Add the diced mushrooms and stir until just mixed.
Step 13: Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 20 minutes. Make sure to turn them every 5 minutes.
Step 14: Remove from the heat and serve. Enjoy!
