Ingredients:
¼ tsp garlic powder
3 ½ c whole milk
1/3 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp dried thyme
1 lb. bulk pork sausage (ground breakfast sausage)
½ tsp ground black pepper
½ tsp salt
Directions:
Place a large pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add the sausage, then cook until crumbly and brown. Make sure to stir it continuously.
Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, flour, and thyme. Stir until well blended. Cook for about 2 minutes to remove the raw taste of the flour.
Add 3 cups of milk, then stir until well blended. Simmer for a few minutes until the texture of the gravy becomes thick. (Note: Add more milk if the texture becomes too thick.)
Allow the gravy to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
Serve with toast, biscuits, or English muffins. Enjoy!
