Ingredients:
6 boneless chicken thighs skinless
3 green/spring onions trimmed and sliced
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 large head of Broccoli cut into florets
2 tbsp Hoisin Sauce or oyster sauce for less sweetness
3 cloves garlic peeled and finely chopped
3 tbsp light soy sauce (extra to taste)
1-inch piece of ginger peeled and chopped
6 tbsp hot water
6 tbsp honey approximately
Directions:
Place a wok on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add a bit of olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the broccoli and sauté until just soft. Remove from the heat.
In the same wok, add oil and allow it to become hot again.
Add the chicken thighs and cook until all sides turn brown. Remove from the wok onto a clean plate.
In the same wok, add the ginger, garlic, and spring onion. Saute until aromatic.
Bring the chicken thighs back to the wok as well as the hoisin sauce, hot water, and soy sauce. Stir until well mixed and allow the mixture to boil.
Drizzle a bit of honey on top, then cover the wok with a lid. Simmer for about 10 minutes or until the chicken is cooked and the sauce reduced its volume.
Put the sauteed broccoli back to the wok and toss until well coated with the sauce. Cook for a few more minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
