If you are looking for an easy recipe to try, then this is the one for you! This Classic Smash Burger is my all-time favourite! This was recommended to me by my friend way back in college and I’ve been making it ever since! This was made with creativity so make sure to give it your personal touch as well. I know you can do a lot to make this recipe even better! Have a beautiful day, friends. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb Certified Angus Beef ® ground beef, 80/20 lean
1/2 c mayonnaise
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 tbsp grated yellow onion
2 tsp hot sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
4 white hamburger buns
2 tbsp butter, room temperature
1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp pepper
4 slices American cheese
2 c shredded iceberg lettuce
8 slices vine-ripe tomatoes
Directions:
Create 8 equal sizes of balls out of the ground beef.
To make the sauce, add mayonnaise, mustard, hot sauce, grated onion, and Worcestershire sauce into a mixing bowl. Stir until well combined, then place it inside the fridge to chill.
Put a large cast-iron skillet on the stove and turn the heat to high.
Add butter and allow it to melt.
Add the buns and toast, then transfer onto clean individual plates.
Add the beef balls into the hot skillet and press each to flatten. Season with your sauce, salt, and pepper. Sear each side for about 3 minutes or until brown.
Put cheese over each patty and cook for few more minutes until melted completely. Remove from the heat.
Spread the delicious sauce over each bun, then top each with shredded lettuce, tomato, two patties, and the other half of the bun.
Serve hot and enjoy!
